Formed in 1996, the Gold Country Visitors Association (GCVA) is funded through membership dues combined with funding from Visit California. The GCVA’s primary goal is to develop open communications throughout California’s Gold Country with the sole focus of promoting tourism to the Gold Country through a regional, cooperative effort.

Benefits of GCVA Membership

The GCVA is a strong regional marketing organization working in partnership across industries, counties and other organizations associated with Visit California. As a membership-based non-profit, the GCVA is dedicated to working collaboratively with other tourism-related marketing organizations to promote the Gold Country and its many amazing destinations. To that end, the organization provides two membership levels, primary and associate, each providing valuable benefits to the members. Participation in primary and associate-level membership is required to accurately promote members’ marketing organizations/companies.

Listing on the website (visitgoldcountry.org) and promotional materials Each Primary Member shall be listed alphabetically by county page in bold, link directly to the primary member’s website, and host a photo gallery of the primary member’s desired photos. Updates and changes to the listing can be made as needed.

Associate Members shall have logo and link to their website on the Primary DMO page.
